Planes, Cranes, and Automobiles

I took Cole out to another job site today. Abe is working on a bridge, and they had the ginormous crane set up to place the 80,000 lb girders today. It's quite the project. They had the highway closed to one lane, DPS ready and waiting and 'Over sized Load' Trucks stationed allover town waiting for each girder to arrive on its own semi. Abe said the crane itself was a major undertaking yesterday, also. Each of the crane's counterweights came in on its own semi (due to weight restrictions) and the crane took about 6 hours to be assembled! Here's Cole in all his construction glory!

Cole was really more fascinated with this loader driving around behind us. It beeped!

Cole was waving at all the workers, trying to get their attention.

I don't know if you can tell, but there's little men standing at the furthest left girder, waiting for the next one (on the crane) to be placed. Just to kind of put the size in perspective.
We didn't get to stay too long, Abe was worried about safety (the wind was acting up), but Cole had a great time anyway! And I was relieved since our playgroup this morning was cancelled!
