So this is my first official blog and I'm hoping it will help us keep our family and friends up to date since we now live pretty far from most of them. We now live in Prescott, which is only about an hour and a half from Phoenix, but its far enough that we don't get to see everyone nearly as often as we'd like. Prescott is turning out to be a pretty good move so far. Here's a picture from our deck
The first pic is from one of the 50 or so T-storms/Monsoons we have been able to watch develop and progress since we've been here. Nothing like good ol' Arizona summer weather in the high country. I'm pretty sure we have been struck by lightning (or pretty close to it) twice! The smoke detectors start blaring and the lights turn on, and it is the loudest and scariest thing ever (can you say power surge!) Of course, both times, Cole was in the middle of his afternoon nap which he very crabbily woke up from! Things over all are going well for our little family. Cole and Dozer are adjusting, too. Cole loves his play room and his deck (all we have is a deck since we are on a mountain top) and the big windows with low sills that he can sit on. Dozer likes having windows that he can look out of and watch for potential bad guys (a.k.a. neighbors), which he then barks at until they are out of sight.
